Alysia Creter is a mixed media artist from New Jersey.  In 2006, she recieved her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston.  Since then, she has been working in her home town of Flemington, New Jersey.  Her work aims to capture a moment frozen in time that is inspired by personal memories and lingering feelings on past relationships.  Along with paint, she uses different types of paper and raw materials to create overlapping colors and patterns, which compose harmonious configurations.  Different bleeds, natural imperfections, and relationships occur with these materials resulting in unusual shapes and designs.  Alysia is greatly inspired by various cultures and fashions from both the past and the present, and hopes to further explore these subjects in her future work.
