Karl is a self-taught artist working primarily with pastels for over thirty years.  His interest in art was sparked through a friend in 1979.  Since that time, he has studied the work of many Masters to gain insight into motivation, color and symbolism.  Through this inspiration, Karl has continually expanded his creative knowledge and depth.  He finds his artistic expression a therapeutic remedy that helps to both ‘center and release’.  For Karl, art is a continual part of the natural flow of life while simultaneously introducing people to a bigger world.  Karl’s greatest joy in presenting his work is in the reaction he receives and hearing how his work has touched the lives of others.  In addition to working with pastels, Karl also specializes in Native American Indian arts and crafts.
